Most of this pressure is due to work done by the heart by pumping blood through the circulatory system. Used without further specification, “blood pressure” usually refers to the pressure in large arteries of the systemic circulation. Sometimes this might get too high or might jut be too low, but how would you know if don’t check?

Over time, if untreated, it can cause health conditions, such as heart disease and stroke.Eating a healthier diet with less salt, exercising regularly and taking medication can help lower blood pressure.
High blood pressure is usually cause by the following reasons:
- Being overweight or obese
- Lack of physical activity
- Too much salt in the diet
- Too much alcohol consumption (more than 1 to 2 drinks per day)
- Older age
- Family history of high blood pressure
- Chronic kidney disease
- Adrenal and thyroid disorders
- Sleep apnea
So if the reasons above is a check for then you need to start taking your blood pressure seriously, because blood pressure if not treated early can lead to stroke or even death.
